The 35 best boutiques in Cusco (2024)

The San Pedro Market is a bustling covered market in downtown San Pedro, Peru that offers a taste of the local flavors and smells. It is great for sampling a variety of different foods without having to spend a lot of money. The market is located close to the Plaza Mayor, which makes it convenient for tourists visiting Cusco.

Beautiful colors, hard working people selling their organic produce, clean and vibrant environment. This market has everything for your belly and your curiosity.

Here you can find everything your heart desires. From artisans' work to flowers, cheeses, herbs, potatoes to meat and fresh juices. There is a huge selection of everything. In the back you can find little eateries where you can have a snack. This is a genuine market where locals shop and not just tourists.

Great place to buy produce, meat, or to eat a meal. Lots of fresh fruit, etc.The portions at the restaurants are large and the prices are very reasonable. Most of them serve the same dishes. Also if you were not aware. When they say sausage. They are really talking about a hotdog. There are some places selling ponchos and other textiles. These are all machine made, synthetic fiber items.

Great experience, try the jumbo juices for 9-10 soles. Absolutely an amazing way to spend 3-4 hours at the market. Try picking up local Pisco, Llama stuff toys , handmade or crafted accessories and the coca chocolates. You can have a hearty meal for 10 to 30 soles per person. It also includes the local market for cheese, fruits and meat

A great place to do almost all of your shopping in Cusco. They have almost everything, and prices are better than retail and “tourist” stores in town. Many locals shop here for all of their daily needs including produce, fruit, meats, coffee, tea, cheeses, and almost everything else. There are plenty of food stands where you can buy a cheap meal, and lots of stands selling fresh juices and smoothies.Prices at many stands selling local products, woven goods, and souvenirs are fairly negotiable, so don’t be afraid to make an offer. Usually, the vendors will start their prices a little high, then allow you to offer a fair price depending on what you want.It can be crowded at times, so be patient and be careful to avoid pickpockets.

Hundreds of vendors. Tons of everything you can think of. Cheap prices compared to anywhere else. Buy your coca and your cheap souvenirs here. Nothin high end in the souvenir department but lots stuff for your coworkers and extended family...lol. great place and fun. Don't forget to negotiate That's the game eve on juice.

Really entertaining experience! Lots of options for shopping both groceries and touristic items at good prices! Several booths for food too (I did not try it though). Difficult to find a decent bathroom - there's a paid bathroom outside the market that is crowded and tight.

This place is definitely an experience! You can see everything, from clothes to food, from chocolate to quinoa! It is incredible, you can have a sense of traditional food and also clothing. Everyone that we talked to was extremely friend and willing to explain everything. I recommend visiting this place if you’re a tourist!

You can find all the local stuffs here, 7-sole combo meal, freshly squeezed juice, fruits, vegetables, souvenirs…it’s up to you to make your own judgement if food is safe to eat, or the quality of the alpaca wool products

It smells like a butcher in here with raw meat hanging with flies everywhere. Definitely does not look very sanitary. It was not pleasant to shop here because of the smell. If you’re looking to buy souvenirs, there’s many street vendors and cute shops on your walk to San Blas.

Another great market to experience standard Peruvian life. Has all the food and juice stalls, fresh fruits, meats, and other every day home accessories. It is clean, right across from the train station, and as always - busy. Definitely the one stop shop you must visit when visiting Cusco!

Incredible market, had a fruit smoothie. Delicious but not cold. Had a quinoa soup at one of the tall, incredible, yummy. Bought a whole bunch of exotic fruits. I love this place. Vendors are honest and nice.

A must go if you would like to experience the local market and food. Sells local souveniers to fresh meat. Have rows of fruit juices which i tried, made from a wide range of fruits which you can mix. Outside the market are the outdoor markets which you must visit too. Sells fruits, vegetables and flowers mostly.

Fantastic to dive into the local vibe with people all around you, feel the dynamism of the place, discover customs, the many fruits, vegetables, and meat they use for their dishes. The juices are safe to drink in our experience.

Tremendous market. Marvelous cultural experience to shop and mingle with the Peruvians. Anything Peruvian you will find here. Some of 5he vendors will accept a credit card. As has become the norm in our global economy, you will see varying levels of quality and workmanship. That said, it is a phenomenal location to procure Peruvian chocolate for 8 soles a bar @ $2, Andean sea salt, embroidered/handmade textiles, pan flutes, and a whole lot of other chachkes!Something for everyone. I liked that the pricing seemed consistent across stalls. There was minimal bargaining which was fine with me because the prices were so low. It was a wonderful way to spend a couple hours in the beautiful city of Cusco.

Definitely make time to visit the market in Cusco. Lots of souvenirs, food and site seeing to see at the market. I loved all the local food and especially the Juice ladies. It's very hard to choose a certain one. The chocolate, salt and coffee was very reasonably priced.

Coming to Cuzco and not visiting the San Pedro Market will be a sin of the highest order. From the colourful stalls selling all kinds of products, to the amazing juice spots, the large local eating area and the chance to take pictures and interact with the vendors this is almost an obligatory visit in the city. Come early in the morning for the full local experience. Highly recommended!

Excellent place to grab fresh vegetables, fruits, juice, lunch, nuts, herbs (for tea), and so much more. Fresh aloe vera leaves. Prices are always extremely fair. You can go a long way here getting fresh produce, definitely recommend.

San Pedro Market In Cusco, Peru. Cusco was once a capital of the Inca Empire. This is the main and oldest market in Cusco. A lot of local handicrafts, fresh produce, local eating area. Very colorful stalls selling all kinds of products.

Manny Alonzo — Google review

Great central market where you can find several things, mostly good fruits and grains for a good price. I found a great place to eat vegetarian meals, it's the stand number 904 where Noemi works. Besides food, you will find craftsmanship and natural products as well.

Deric Lima (Zuka) — Google review

Very lively place even past 7pm. The main section closes earlier but the shops around were open. Lot of new year celebration decorations. Make sure to bargain. Inside there were fruit juice stands. I loved the various artisans including handicrafts.

Authentic local market with all types of vegetables, meats, cheese, and cheap lunch/breakfast options. Choose carefully! Easy to get lost in. Walk to the second section for even more foods and fruits. Street vendors are cheaper. Best textiles in one of the shops on the street in front of the market, excellent choice of drapes and ponchos at reasonable price.

So colorful and beautiful, but a lot of the things look the same as every other shop in the area. There's no way to tell what was hand made vs mass produced, but still worth visiting for sure! The fruits and veggies and meats were readout cool to see.

Sara Patterson — Google review

That’s a fantastic experience but not for the most sensitive people! Basically they have butchers cutting and preparing animals without any sanitary conditions, dogs walking around and the smell is very strong as well, all of this side by side with restaurants and everything that you can imagine 😂 a lot of people also selling other stuff outside, Guinea pigs inclusive

João Muñoz — Google review

There was so many places with amazing looking food. The smell on the side with the majority of the food shops is AMAZING. You can find so much interesting stuff here. The sellers don't follow you for blocks trying to convince you to buy stuff. (This one lady on the street followed me for 12 full blocks with me saying no 50 times at minimum) If you are vegetarian or don't like to see dead animals steer clear of one of the corners. (It's the opposite corner from the rows of food shops.) Worth checking out just to see some new stuff. I seen so many new and interesting spices for cooking. I also seen some sheep balls and eyes. So you know it's a mix of everything.
