Hr. talent is a term easily used and abused to describe something that few can agree on or describe without bias and judgment interfering. In fact, the chosen description often serves personal hubris. Yet, if we ask for the definition of talent, where is it written down? How is it integrated into the designs of the future, and how does it allow us to identify the interests or potentially the individual's ability to adapt to and process complex changes around them?Where will those individuals find themselves in experiences of incompetence, no longer able to understand, process, or adapt find a reference to explain why? How does that definition stay relevant to provide the same level of complex insight for an illiterate individual as it does for a PhD holder? Many will find this absurd or impossible, challenging, or unnecessary. Then there are those who refuse to acknowledge talent or being talented. With this background, not having a definite definition of talent, what is this talent that Singapore is talking about? Consider that despite the reported prosperity, that more than 90% of Singaporeans experience excessive stress have an aging population and a declining birth rate of less than 1. Talent?
