Moreover, Maid's event also features ''another'' free Rider, so in a lot ways she's seen as being purely a vanity pull and many fans are annoyed that she wasn't given a more unusual role, or filled one of the few classes Altria hasn't filled yet, or wonder why she isn't fulfilling Alter's usual gag of being a more obtainable 4* version of one of Altria's classes (especially since she uses guns so heavily, making her an obvious Archer candidate). Her defenders, however, point out that the gameplay between the two Alter Riders is massively different (all their skills are different, Maid's second skill is a semi-unique effect and their [=NPs=] behave differently) and the whole point is that, while Santa Alter is just a free reskin of Saber Alter in a different class, Maid Alter finally gives us the motorcycle-riding badass Altria many fans have been pining for since the game launched, and which people ''really'' wanted after Shinjuku - and Maid delivers in spades. It doesn't help that she's rather mediocre compared to the other 2017 swimsuit Servants gameplay-wise.

** Strangely enough, Swimsuit Altria Alter gets this. She has good skills (both active and passive) which makes her NP hit hard, it's just that her NP gain doesn't fit with the kit that she got. However many people have been treating her as a TierInducedScrappy due to the fact that Swimsuit Altria is ''a lot'' better with her SpamAttack and her being compared to other SSR Riders that deal more damage than her. Doesn't help that she was released with some other strong swimsuit servants.
