Market Area North America (MANA) is full speed ahead with 5G, leading in mid-band, and open programmable networks. North America is paving the way in transforming current networks into next gen cloud native intent based 5G stand alone as well as driving an efficient ONAP architecture, where Orchestration, Closed Loop Assurance, and EMS are key components.

We operate in an industry that is constantly evolving with new technologies (e.g. AI, ORAN, GenAI, intent-based networking etc.), which shape opportunities, uncertainties and priorities for Ericsson. You will be part of defining MANAs long-term Network Strategy Vision and evolve MANAs Technology Position, particularly from an automation perspective, with the ambition to have high strategic impact on Ericsson’s business. You will also be an integral part of a technical expert team providing depth to strategic priorities and advising on end-to-end network evolution.

We are seeking an experienced Network and Management thought leader to join our high-performing and fast-paced team and be part of shaping the future of Ericsson and the telecoms industry. In this role, you will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across Strategy, Technology, Business Development, Commercial Management, Sales and Delivery. This role requires strong thought leadership and trusted advisor capabilities to advance high impact deliverables cross multiple disciplines. The everchanging environment and competitive landscape makes this a dynamic and challenging environment that spans transformative technology trends, standardization, regulations, disruptive trends, new competitors, and complex business problems.

What you will do:

• Drive Technology thought leadership to address the needs of Network automation & management
• Drive long term portfolio directions and alignment to address NA market needs and secure Business Area (BA) ownership
• Support and advise Customer Units (CUs) on OSS/ BSS management SW design, leverage automation to drive simplified deployment, and foster deep customer engagement to drive forward looking portfolio needs & differentiation
• Drive telco specific management architecture needs to ensure ease of deployment and orchestration
• Provide technical SME support for Ericsson OSS/BSS portfolio, alignment with ORAN WGs, SMO and A1, O1 and O2 interfaces
• Advise on how to best leverage/implement CI/CD and SW delivery pipelines to automate Day0/1/2 deployment
• Enable and empower Pre-sales organization with strategic intent/ focus
• Lead by example in embedding Ericsson on the move’s 5 focus area (Empathy & Humanness, Fact-Based Decision Making, Execute Speedily, Cooperation & Collaboration, and Speak Up) within your organization

What you will bring:

• BS Degree in engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) and MS/MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant ICT experience including strong R&D & product management experience
• Exceptional knowledge and technology strategy expertise in: Strong foundational knowledge of FCAPS, ORAN SMO, Cloud orchestration and automation framework, Deep understanding of orchestration, management and automation solution in Telco, Experience deploying management solutions at scale
• Strong team player working closely with the MANA Domains, MANA CU, MANA Strategy and the BAs
• Communicate and discuss Ericsson’s POV and vision on Network automaton and management with customer CTO/CIO and their direct reports
• Strategic thinker – strong systemic, critical and strategic thinking - quickly identifies patterns among problems and issues; able to identify alternatives, develop solutions and make proposals
• Business acumen – strong financial acumen and broad business skill set - capacity to drive for results by turning data analytics and insights into actionable business strategies
• Results-oriented – excellent planning, execution and project-management skills experience and ability to apply to enterprise, line of business and market area
• Experience developing Eco-system communities
• Excellent presentation, public speaking and communication skills
